|Pastor Debbie Reiniche, Pastor of Children's Ministries|
Debbie (Zurcher) Reiniche is no stranger to ministry. She grew up in a Nazarene parsonage where she began teaching the preschool class at age 13. She graduated from Olivet with a degree in Psychology. After working in the social work/medical field for several years, while volunteering in Children's Ministries at church, she was hired as Children's Pastor at Manteno Church of the Nazarene. "One day while sitting at my desk I had the realization that I was 'fulfilled' and this is what God had called me to do with my life". Since that time Debbie has worked over 20 years as a Children's Pastor on the Chicago Central District. She and her husband are both ordained deacon/deaconess in the Nazarene Church. Debbie has a heart for children and families and believes the largest mission field within a church is our children.
The statement "Children are Wet Cement", states why she feels it is so important to offer opportunities for children to hear and be taught, at their own age-level, and in all different venues, the story of God and His love and desire for a relationship with them.
Debbie and John have been married for over 30 years. John currently is a Hearing Specialist in his own practice in Manteno, where they live. Debbie enjoys working outside; cooking; entertaining; crafts; shopping & spending time with her family. They have 1 daughter and son-in-law, Heather & Brandon Carter, and 1 precious granddaughter Claire, Kankakee, IL.
