|Pastor Debbie Reiniche, Children's Pastor|
Debbie (Zurcher) Reiniche is no stranger to ministry. She grew up in a Nazarene parsonage where she began teaching the preschool class at age 13. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a degree in Psychology. After working in the social work/medical field for several years and volunteering in children's ministry at Manteno Church of the Nazarene she was hired as the full-time children's pastor there. "One day while sitting at my desk I had the realization that I was 'fulfilled' and this is what God had called me to do with my life." Since that time Debbie has worked over 20 years as a children's pastor on the Chicago Central District. She and her husband are both ordained ministers in the Church of the Nazarene.
Debbie has a heart for children and families and believes the largest mission field within a church is our children. The statement "children are wet cement" illustrates why she feels it is so important to offer opportunities for children to hear and be taught the story of God and His love and desire for a relationship with them at their own appropriate age level and in all different venues.
Debbie and John have been married for over 30 years. John is currently a hearing specialist in his own practice in Manteno, where they live. Debbie enjoys working outside, cooking, entertaining, crafts, shopping, and spending time with her family. John and Debbie have one daughter and son-in-law as well as one granddaughter.
